Job Shadow Experience
I'd like to thank you for the amazing job shadowing experience that you had provided me with on this past friday. It was great to see what you do at work as well as your various counterparts. I learned many things about the many parts of your company, as well as about the most vital parts of your day (ie. saying hi to everyone, lunch, coffee, etc). I appreciate your cooperation and helpfulness for this amazing job shadow experince, as well as the inspiration your have given me. Who Knows ? You may soon find me selling cars!
Kind and Prompt
Just a note to thank the service department for such kind and prompt service. My hood flew up on my way home to Toronto, and smashed the windshield. Fortunately, I was able to slowly make my way to your dealership. I arrived somewhat shaken and all I had to do was shove my ownership across the counter. A few hours later, having a nice cup of tea in your lounge, I wanted to write you a thank-you note. The free telephone allowed me to "settle down" after speaking to my family. Your Parts people and dealership were a big comfort to me today. Thank you.
New Car Seminar
Last night Jane and I had the pleasure of attending the new car seminar hosted by Herb and Darren.
Herb did a great job! He was passionate about cars and presented the information in a very organized, informative and understandable fashion. It was also very humourous which made it a fun night.
He also got everyone involved!
I should also mention that Laurie is a very pleasant person to talk to on the phone and the cupcakes were tasty!!
Quite often, I hear commercials that talk about "the dealer experience", we always feel comfortable and well taken care of at your dealership.
See you soon and all the best.
Customer Service
Hey John.
Just wanted to tell you that I was sincerely blown away by my last visit to Attrell Toyota (last night). The only way to describe it is to say, ‘the complete service experience’. First, I got a call reminding me of my service appointment the day before I arrived. It wasn’t just ‘getting a call’ (like when the dentist calls in a sterile way) but the call was very useful. She (sorry don’t remember her name) used the call efficiently, to gather and confirm existing customer information. At the end of the call extended the reminder to help myself to coffee and thanked me for my business. Very skillful. Then the service itself was superb. Please extend thanks to ‘Brock’. A comment in general on my experience: everyone (I wish I had of taken more names). There was a girl who came to get me and tell me of parts that needed to be installed. It wasn’t just her ‘coming to get me’ in the service area, but she did it with such a smile and service. I was working on a i-pad hidden from view and she kindly joked that she knew where to find me now when the vehicle was ready and not to worry. Even the lady who called me the day before exuded a very high caliber of customer service spirit. So I don’t know if it’s your H/R manager who deserves high recognition because they are obviously hiring the right people for the job but whoever is training the service staff needs some credit. The training showed yesterday in their action and treatment of me. Even at the end, an official Toyota mechanic had to come out for a question on my Highlander, even he interacted with me with a sense of urgency and customer service skill. That was pleasantly unusual.
Bottom line, the best customer service I’ve had at any dealership (including Honda next door!) Yes they are good too but the service at Attrell yesterday was not comparable in quality.
Thanks again John and please forward to the right channels if appropriate. (I hope Brock and the staff at the desk yesterday hear of this or receive a copy of the email for their work files!)
Have a great day John.

I purchased a Yaris from the Team of Attrell Toyota. About a month after the purchase, I received a telephone call inviting me to the Car Care Workshop & Customer Appreciation Event. I was told that the workshop would help to orient me to my vehicle and would give me some helpful tips about car maintenance that would help me to save time and money down the road. Intrigued, I decided to go. Knowing nothing about cars, I was impressed that the team at Attrell Toyota would thoughtfully put on an event like this for people like me.
The evening started with light refreshments and we were welcomed by our host, Herb Hulme, a Master Technician. Over the course of the night, Herb took us through all the major aspects of basic car maintenance, including: appropriate tire selection; tire pressure; windshield washer fluid selection; windshield wiper care; coolant selection; how not to be scammed into a brake-job; how to find and change an air filter; and more! For someone not familiar with cars, it was an immense learning experience done in an engaging and interactive seminar.
By far, the highlight of the night was when Herb taught the group how to change a tire in an emergency situation. Within a few minutes, Herb was able to make this initially daunting task seem immediately simple. Put simply, I will never have to fear the possibility of a blown tire again. I would highly recommend this event to anyone unfamiliar with cars. I promise you will leave well informed and much more confident in your ability to maintain the life of your vehicle. I would also recommend this event to those who know a little bit about cars and want to bounce their experiences with a Master Mechanic. For example, Herb did a great job during the evening to correct some pervasive myths about boosting a battery that were being used by less knowledgeable mechanics!
I really cannot recommend this seminar enough!
