Why Was the 2020-2023 Toyota Highlander Recalled?

A safety recall was sent out for the 2020-2023 range of Toyota Highlander and Toyota Highlander Hybrids due to concerns regarding the front bumper cover’s stability. There is a risk of the front bumper cover detaching from the vehicle while driving, causing a potential hazard to both the vehicle and other vehicles on the road.

Do I Need to Pay for Toyota Recall Service?

As is the case with all safety recalls, the service to replace your Toyota Highlander or Highlander Hybrid’s front bumper cover will be performed at no cost to you. All Highlander owners need to do is take their vehicle to a Toyota service centre (such as the service department right here at Attrell Toyota) and explain that the vehicle’s front bumper required replacement, per the manufacturer’s recall.

Is My Toyota Highlander Affected by the Recall?

Any time there is a safety recall on a Toyota vehicle, Toyota will send a notice by mail to relevant vehicle owners. However, drivers who are unsure of their vehicle’s recall status and would like to double-check can always keep up to date with recall notices on the Toyota Canada Newsroom website.Â
