Technology on the 2015 Toyota Camry

New Toyota Camry Technology
Sensible. Practical. Fuel efficient. Low maintenance. This is how the Camry has been described for years. Cutting edge. Sleek. Modern. Cool. This is how the new 2015 Toyota Camry is being described now. A Camry is cool? Take a look at all the new tech packed into this significantly updated model and decide for yourself. This new Toyota Camry will certainly be seen driving to and from hockey practice all over the Toronto area. But with the new look, fun driving performance, and technology options, we think it’ll be spotted everywhere in between, too.

The really impressive optional feature is Toyota’s Qi wireless cell phone charging system. There’s no more need to constantly have cables and wires hanging around your car, or getting lost somewhere between the car, work, and home. Simply set your phone in the bottom compartment of the center console and it starts charging. It works with most smartphones that are equipped with the Qi compatible charging case or accessory, and many smartphone models charge faster wirelessly than the traditional USB connected route.

The center console is a little bigger, and simpler. The 6.1” – 7” touch-screen audio and navigation system is far more intuitive than before. The larger buttons and knobs just make things easier without sacrificing any performance. The system is rounded out with 6 speakers, an auxiliary audio jack, and USB port with iPod connectivity and control. Voice-activated navigation and hands-free phone and phone book access, and bluetooth music streaming are appealing for commutes both long and short.

A new, 4.2-inch, customizable and very modern display screen is situated just beneath the driver’s line of sight, between the tachometer and speedometer. The driver can use the controls on the steering wheel to toggle through whatever information is desired, including navigation. Also, it’s worth pointing out that Toyota designed the entire instrument panel to be clearer, and easier to quickly glance at while emitting a softer, less annoying glow that reduces eye fatigue and strain.

There are also a few optional technology safety features available in the new 2015 Toyota Camry that can give drivers more peace of mind during our sometimes tricky Toronto weather. The blind spot monitor with rear cross traffic is a great feature. Check out how it works here. Toyota also offers their lane departure warning system which alerts drivers when they creep into another lane. Another option is the automatic high beam feature that automatically turns down the high beams if you forget.

If you wanna try out all the bells and whistles for yourself, and you’re going to be in the Toronto area, let us know! We are happy to help you schedule a test drive to see how far the Camry has come over the last few years.
