Who is the typical Toyota Camry buyer?
The Toyota Camry has been the top selling mid-size sedan for over 12 years running. Traditionally it has attracted a mature, more established customer. And then Toyota began to notice a shift in their sales. Over the last couple years, almost half of Camry sales were of the more sporty SE trim model, and the majority of buyers were in their 30s and 40s. Recognizing this shift in the market, a lot of the recent updates and enhancements to the new 2015 Toyota Camry are aimed at continuing to attract younger buyers. It’s still the reliable, comfortable, affordable sedan that appeals to the masses, but it’s positioned to really resonate with a bolder, edgier market.
Toyota has released two of the six commercials they have slated for the 2015 Toyota Camry. The commercial campaign is currently running throughout the U.S. and is expected to rollout in Toronto and across Canada soon. The campaign’s goal is to appeal to a Generation X type person who values individuality. The commercials use the tagline: The Bold New Camry. One Bold Choice Leads to Another. The 30-second commercials do a great job telling a larger story.
The 2015 Toyota Camry added just enough bells, and all the right whistles with the model’s design refresh. The wireless phone charger and other technology, the exceptionally comfortable and highly adjustable driver’s seat, and the unbelievably fun performance of the sport trim models are all reasons younger buyers will fall in love with the new Camry. The affordable, responsible, cost-saving hybrid options will also certainly appeal to quite a few people, as well.
